Hromadske TV, an independent online news broadcasting service in the Ukraine is raising funds on IndieVoices today. In a timely crowdfunding effort, Hromadske is attempting to raise $45,000 to provide information in a professional, ethical manner. Created in 2013 by a group of disillusioned journalists who were tired of political interference, now more than ever does the region demand an independent voice for current events.
We all know the strife and drama occurring in the country today. Recently a Russia Today anchor resigned on air in protest of the propaganda being produced regarding the Russian occupation of a portion of the country. The project will receive the funds raised, regardless of the amount by March 28th. To get an idea of what your contributions may provide: $50 pays for a cameraman’s wages for a day; $100 covers the daily wages of three journalists; $500 pays for a single month of the servers used to broadcast their online channel.
If you are interested in helping to shed light on Ukraine’s political crisis – here is your chance. Financial and moral support is needed now.
