Brief: Members of Crowd Racing, Crowdcube Gather For Race Horses

HFR CrowdracingCrowd Racing is the first investment platform for race horses. The UK based operation is powered by the same technology that equity platform Crowdcube utilizes for their investment listings.  Crowd Racing offers shares in individual horses to the general public, allowing for anyone to participate in the sport of kings.   Race horse trainers and syndicates offer pitches for horses they want to put in training – similar to the way horses have been financed for decades – but in a much more efficient manner.

One of the very first pitches to go live on the platform was Horses First Racing for a two year old colt.  The target was to raise £50,000 to for a thoroughbred that is preparing to make it debut this year.  Of course investors get to benefit in any winnings and also enjoy the sport a bit more directly.

Crowd RacingOn the 22nd March 2014 there will be an open morning at Horses First Racing that is only for members of Crowd Racing and Crowdcube.  This is an opportunity to find out more about what crowdfunding horses means for potential investors.

Invitees will meet trainer Jeremy Gask & the team, see a demonstration on new altitude training system (first in Europe) and latest heart rate and sectional timing technology. Also in attendance will be Darren Westlake of Crowdcube and Craig McKenna of Crowd Racing who will be available to answer any questions on crowdfunding and the opportunities it brings to horse racing and the greater business community.
