Financial Services Committee Schedules Hearing on Legislative Proposals to Enhance Capital Formation

House Financial Services Committee

The House Committee on Financial Services has scheduled a earing entitled “Legislative Proposals to Enhance Capital Formation for Small and Emerging Growth Companies”.  The hearing is taking place this Wednesday, April 9, 2014 10:00 AM in 2128 Rayburn HOB.  This is a one panel hearing and will take testimony from the following witnesses: 

  • Mr. David R. Burton, Senior Fellow in Economic Policy, The Heritage Foundation
  • Professor John C. Coffee Jr., Adolf A. Berle Professor of Law, Director of the Center on Corporate Governance at Columbia Law School, Columbia Law School
  • Mr. Brian Hahn, Chief Financial Officer, GlycoMimetics, Inc., on behalf the Biotechnology Industry Organization
  • Mr. Tom Quaadman, Vice President, Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness, U.S. Chamber of Commerce

While the JOBS Act is not listed on the distributed memo there will be discussions regarding several proposed bills that can dramatically impact capital formation for small companies.
