Finland based investment crowdfunding platform Invesdor has been recognized by Red Herring as one of Europe’s Top 100 startups. The recognition event was held in Amsterdam this past week.
Since 1996, technology industry executives, investors, and strategists have seen the Red Herring 100 lists as an instrument for discovering and advocating the most promising private ventures from around the world.
The Red Herring Top 100 award highlight exciting startups from Asia, Europe and the Americas. In the past, Red Herring has recognized companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, YouTube, and eBay predicting these companies will change the way we live and work. Red Herring uses more than 20 criteria to analyze the companies. Some criteria are scale-based and some are absolute numbers.
“Selecting startups that show the most potential for disruption and growth is never easy,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “We looked at hundreds and hundreds of candidates from all across the continent, and after much thought and debate, narrowed the list down to the Top 100 Winners. Each year, the competition gets tougher but we believe Invesdor demonstrates the vision, drive and innovation that define a Red Herring winner.”
“We are not going to pause to celebrate Red Herring award, but we continue to grow and develop the business according to our strategy. We will soon prove that the prize was awarded to the right player”, stated our CEO Lasse Mäkelä earlier today.
