According to the company, the cuff is “an advanced wearable device with a revolutionary new take on wrist real estate The Rufus Cuff has a 3-inch wide screen with a radical design and reimated form factor that puts an end to the Wrist Communicator era.
The watch has a built-in mic, speak and camera. This makes it easier for you to place voice or video calls right from your wrist with your connected iPhone or Android. The watch also is text messages, Wifi, and Bluetooth capabilities. It comes with a full web browser that you can visit your favorite websites, watch videos, check the weather orcatch up on the news.
Not only is it perfect for phone calls and web browsing, the Rufus Cuff is perfect for the witness gurus looking for a watch with a GPA, Accelerometer and Gyroscope. It supports most fitness apps such as Strava, RunTracker, Endormondo to track steps, calorie burned, and distance traveled. It is also designed to be spill and splash water proof.
The funds from the campaign will go towards finishing the software development; completing prototype testing and water resistance tests; molds for pass production; allowing [Rufus Labs] to place the first orders for [its] bill of material [BOM] components for mass manufacture; production and assembly costs; worldwide certification.
Rufus Labs have been working hard on the Rufus Cuff for over a year. The team includes electrical and computer engineers, UI designers and support staff to support the project. Co-founders Matt Goldman, Travis LaBerge and Paula Odysseos have backgrounds in law, engineering and business and have helped to keep Team Rufus on track to deliver the watch.
