Announced by the European Commission last month, the deadline for applications for participation in the European Commission informal expert group or “European Crowdfunding Stakeholder Forum (ECSF)” deadlines tomorrow May 16, 2014.
As previously reported the Commission is looking to select members for this group on crowdfunding, in coordination with their March 2014 Communication “Unleashing the potential of Crowdfunding in the European Union”.
The expert group is expected to:
- Help the Commission to raise awareness, provide information and design training modules for project owners;
- Provide expertise to the Commission in promoting transparency, exchange of best practices and certification;
- Provide advice to the Commission to explore the potential of establishing a “quality label” to build trust with users; and
- Identify further issues that may need to be addressed
