The best equity crowdfunded – Angel deal award was present to Lovespace at the UK Business Angels Association award ceremony last night. Lovespace overfunded on Crowdcube easily exceeding their £600,000 objective and then found additional capital from DN Capital who added a significant £250,00 to the till. The company had been previously recognized as one of the “UK’s top-50 most disruptive companies”.
Lovespace was nominated by Crowdcube and Smedvig Capital. The Judges felt that the deal demonstrated a solid example of a connected market place. Lovespace, raised a very significant sum through Crowdcube’s platform , exceeding their original target by 167%, and attracting an impressive mix of crowdfunding and mainstream equity from both UK and European investors to support the further expansion of the business.
