EarthLED.com, an LED-only lighting retailer, announced on Thursday (November 13th) the immediate availability of the highly anticipated Nanoleaf One LED light bulbs.
Nanoleaf bulb started as a wildly successful, crowdfunded project on Kickstarter and is now the latest production version is available to the general public in the USA at EarthLED.com. Nanoleaf bulbs feature superior efficiency, are safe to use in fully enclosed fixtures and come in 75 Watt and 100 Watt equivalencies.
Co-founder and managing director of EarthLED, Mark Costigliola, stated, “We’ve watched the Nanoleaf project since it was launched on Kickstarter and are very pleased to be partnering with Nanoleaf to bring the production units to consumers here in the USA. EarthLED has become known as the place to go for the latest in LED technology and today’s announcement is no exception. Nanoleaf bulbs are a unique and exciting offering and they make a great addition to our comprehensive lineup.”
Nanoleaf One bulbs have an edgy abstract feel to their appearances. The bulbs are produced through an origami-like process where cut outs of PCB (printed circuit board) with all the circuitry in place are folded into the final dodecahedron shape.
Beyond the distinctive design, Nanoleaf products are green to the core. All manufacturing are packaging material are carefully sourced with the environment in mind. With a lifespan of 30,000 hours, one Nanoleaf light bulb can take the place of 30 traditional incandescent light bulbs or 4 CFL light bulbs, lowering the overall carbon footprint of the consumer.
Co-founder and CEO of Nanoleaf, Gimmy Chu, noted,”We want to inspire people to adopt more energy efficient technology.
