I have to admit I am pretty impressed by the profound creativity and degree of entrepreneurship that is percolating in Israel these days. This small nation of a 8.2 million certainly plays in the big leagues even if it does not have the size of other free market economies. Israel has claimed the title of “StartUp Nation”. In looking at the results from this past week – it is certainly hard to argue that claim. According to the report there was $140 million in startup funding plus $770 million in acquisitions all in a single week. Not too bad for the first month of the year.
