The fans have spoken and RiffTrax has listened. Based on overwhelming fan demand, the San Diego company, Fathom Events and IGN are thrilled to announce multiple events, all at once, to keep devoted followers laughing throughout the year.
Fans recently contributed through a Kickstarter campaign to help RiffTrax reach their base goal of $75,000 in just 8 hours in order to riff four great films live in 2015. Many great rewards are still up for grabs until March 21st.
RiffTrax LIVE 2015 will consist of a series of four “classics” to be lambasted by the men of RiffTrax -Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett (best known for the groundbreaking “Mystery Science Theater 3000”).
The series’ schedule is as follows:
- RiffTrax Live: The Room – on May 6th and May 12th
- RiffTrax Live: Sharknado 2: The Second One – on July 9th and July 16th
- RiffTrax Live: Miami Connection – on October 1st and October 6th
- RiffTrax Live: Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny – on December 3rd and December 15th.
Tickets for RiffTrax LIVE 2015 are available at participating theater box offices and online at Fathom Events. The event will be presented in select movie theaters around the country through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network. RiffTrax’s Michael J. Nelson stated, “Much like the ’27 Yankees — or perhaps more like ‘The Three Stooges’ in their latter days, with Curly Joe Derita, we feel like we have the perfect line-up in place for 2015.”
