Pebble gave Twitter followers a good laugh during Apple’s media event on this past Monday as Apple revealed additional details on their forthcoming smartwatch.
The Kickstarter-success (and continues to be) took a humorous approach regarding Apple’s typically big media circus as they schmoozed the media and Apple fans.
At first, the Pebble team offered off compliments for Apple’s presentation.
Whoa, Danerys can break the wheel all she wants. What a @GameOfThrones trailer! #DragonMode #AppleLIVE

Once the Apple Live event began releasing specific details about the Apple Watch, Pebble kicked in the humor;
Oh Mickey you’re so fine. #AppleLIVE http://t.co/jR3jIeanEE pic.twitter.com/POPifJTglH — Pebble (@Pebble) March 9, 2015
As soon as the price was revealed for the Apple Watch (which will range between $349 to $17,000), Pebble added a few funny (but accurate) tweets:
Four figures?! Whoa. #AppleLIVE
Pebble is still in the midst of the biggest crowdfunding campaign ever on Kickstarter for its Pebble Time. The far smaller company has come out swinging agains the largest company on the planet with a proactive update to their Pebble line of watches. Pebble has raised over $18 million from more than 71,000 backers and is on track to near $30 million in crowdfunded sales. Apple Watch will go on sale next month so we will have to wait and see how many they sell on launch.
