On Easter Sunday, Miami, Florida-based startup, MiTagg took to Indiegogo with a mission to raise $30,000 for its new charging dock, NuDock, which is dedicated to Apple products, including iPhone and the brand new timepiece, the Apple Watch.
The NuDock is described as a beautifully designed power docking station that provides a solid foundation for iPhones and Apple Watches. Features of the port include:
Smart LED Lamp: Touch sensitive control that allows the user to adjust the brightness.- Apple Watch Stand: Anodized aluminum apple watch charging stand in secure docking port for instant charging.
- Case Compatible Deck: Fully adjustable, charge your iPhone without the hassle of removing protected cases.
Ultimately, for me, the best features of the NuDock is that it has a “cable management” that will keep all items on the docking station in place the entire time it is charging. The MiTagg team explained:
“Simple and quick installation, while the non-slip rubber base keeps your devices firmly in place. Integrated cable management system keeping cables nearly hidden for a clutter-free space with instant charging.”
The power dock also offers a portable battery called, Nuki, which is a compact, portable keychain backup battery solution with an integrated Apple MFI Lightning Cable and convenient detachable keyring means the user is always ready for instant power on-the-go.
Less than 24 hours into its Kickstarter campaign, the NuDock has officially surpassed its initial $30,000 thanks to nearly 250 backers. During a recent update, the MiTapp crew shared:
“Thank you so much for all of your support! This will allow us to begin the tooling process for manufacturing soon.
“Our Rewards Program will be introduced in the next few days allowing our backers to earn refunds on their pledges or additional MiTagg accessories. This could include additional NuStand Apple Watch Stands or the NuKi Portable Battery for free.
“Now that we have reached our goal, we will begin the tooling process to manufacture your NuDock Power Station. We will have a full update on this in the coming days.”
The campaign is set to close on May 5th.
