Macclesfield Rachel Bates Interiors Seeks £695,000 Through Seedrs Campaign to Launch New Online Store

Macclesfield-based interior design company, Rachel Bates Interiors, recently launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to raise £695,000 for its online store.

Rachel Bates Interiors was found in May 2012 by chief executive Rachel Bates, non-executive chairman Harry Hill and non-executive director Justin Bates. The company shared:

Rachel Bates“Rachel Bates Interiors (RBI) is quite simply a celebration of all things luxury. We are raising funds to accelerate the launch, scope and reach of our online boutique.

“The store plans to sell a wide array of products from world-renowned luxury designers, many of which we anticipate would be exclusive to the site. We intend to also have unique design collaborations between RBI and some leading brands e.g. And-So-To-Bed, Laurent Perrier, as well as RBI own-label products.

“The product range will be broad, extending from beautiful gift ideas to exquisite home furnishings. The overriding ethos is one of beautifully made, high quality, superior products, elegantly curated in the style for which RBI has become known.

“The decision to develop the online store is the result of demand from customers for our products and huge support and encouragement from some of the leading figures in the interior design industry.”

During a recent interview with Insider, Bates revealed that her team is determined to create an interior design version of the fashion website, net-a-porter.com. She shared:

Rachel Bates 1“Delighted by the reaction we have had from investors so far, we were keen to open up the funding round to a wider audience, hence we chose Seedrs. The reaction so far has been brilliant and very encouraging indeed. Rachel Bates Interiors goes from strength to strength and we are incredibly excited about launching our online boutique, after strong demand from customers and the industry.”

Those who invest £1,000 or more will recent a 10% discount on all RBI purchases, while those who offer £5,000 or more would be entitled to a 15% discount. The interior design company is giving away a 49.82% stake in return for a £695,000 crowdfunding investment.

Since its launch, the campaign has successfully raised nearly £370,000.
