FinTech Sandbox has announced a new partnership with Estimize, a provider of earnings and economic estimates contributed by the entire financial community, reported Finance Magnates.
Joining Thomson Reuters, Fidelity Investments and Amazon Web Services, new partner Estimize provides a unique data source for participating startups, preparing crowdsourced forecasts for US stocks and economic figures as an alternative to consensus Wall Street analyst figures, according to Finance Magnates. The addition of Estimize follows fellow crowdsourced trading data provider, StockTwits, who became a FinTech Sandbox partner in July and Quandl in August.
“Participation in FinTech Sandbox helps us fulfill our mission of democratizing access to data. We are also pleased to play a part in strengthening the global fintech ecosystem. We believe the startups in FinTech Sandbox today will grow to become core customers in future years,” observed Christine Short, Senior Vice President of Estimize.
Launched in March 2015, FinTech Sandbox has experienced steady growth, admitting European risk management startup Prophis Technology to its program in April. The nonprofit promotes entrepreneurship and innovation globally in the financial technology sector, facilitating free access to financial data and infrastructure to up-and-coming FinTech startups in London, Boston, New York, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Other Fintech Sandbox data partners include Quovo, Zacks, Yodlee, barchart.
