Tile, the tiny Bluetooth tracker and companion app that keep people connected to the things that matter to them most, today announced in-store availability at major retailers Best Buy, Target, and Kenneth Cole. Tile will also be available at Lowe’s starting in mid-November.
Tile kicked off its crowdfunding campaign in 2013 and generated over $2.6 million in 34 days. The startup still maintains the record for the most successful crowdfunding campaign, based on units sold.As of last June, Tile had delivered over 2 million devices and had captured millions of dollars in venture capital to support the young firms’ growth.
Mike Farley, CEO and co-founder of Tile, noted:
“Tile is a true mass-market product, designed to help solve a universal problem: people lose stuff, and it takes a lot of time and money to find or replace important items,” said . “Ninety percent of US retail purchases still happen in stores, so brick-and-mortar was the logical next step in our evolution as a company and we could not have found better partners than the retail giants we’ve rolled out with this month. We look forward to seeing the Tile community scale and find even more stuff for even more people.”
