3D 2.0 Ltd, the company behind Kickstarter success Retouch3D, the unique hand-held, heated tool designed specifically for finishing 3D prints, announced on Thursday the appointment of Brian Gale as executive director and chief executive officer. Gale will head-up commercial development as well as oversee roll-out of the company’s intellectual property via new products.
“We are pleased to have Brian join our leadership team, and our board is confident he is the right choice to lead 3D 2.0 into the next phase of its development as a global business. There are very few people with his diverse level of proven experience in the consumer sector.”
As CEO, Gale’s first priorities will be to navigate the company through the equity round and global product launch. Andrew Garth, chairman of 3D 2.0, added:
“I am delighted that Brian has come on board as Chief Executive Officer at 3D 2.0. He has the vision, experience, energy and drive needed to capitalise on the excitement that he has already helped generate in the market and to steer us successfully through our upcoming fundraising.”
Gale brings over a decade’s experience in the tech and video game sector with extensive experience of working with both global brands and early-stage tech startups in the UK and United States. His roles have ranged from Global Partner Marketing Manager to Senior Sales Development Manager in some of the world’s largest media companies, including Saatchi & Saatchi and Future US. Most recently Gale worked closely on the global launch of Silicon Valley’s Leap Motion, the developer of a 3D motion controller.
