Fast growing peer to peer lender Landbay has announced a new partnership with My Home Move. Landbay was said to be pleased to have found a conveyancing partner who shares their same vision of using technology to disrupt the incumbent mortgage market.
My Home Move is the UK’s leading provider of mover conveyancing services, helping people to buy, sell or remortgage their homes. The “Proptech” company aims to improve the customer experience by leveraging technology and in-house expertise the modern user demands.
My Home Move will be joining Landbay’s panel of conveyancing firms, forming part of the legal process to which all new mortgages are subjected. As shared by Landbay, by incorporating My Home Move’s expertise and technology platform they will be able to keep borrower fees low and speed up the completion process.
“My Home Move’s appointment is another of the steps we are taking to streamline our processes as our lending capability continues to scale,” commented Paul Clampin, Landbay’s Chief Lending Officer. “The synergy between Landbay and My Home Move is clear; we share the philosophy of leveraging technology to disrupt the mortgage market, offering borrowers an experience that is more efficient in terms of cost, time and service.”
John Goodall, CEO of Landbay described the agreement as strategically important for the P2P lender;
“Landbay is the only UK peer-to-peer platform to focus exclusively on the UK buy-to-let mortgage market and it was therefore important for us to find a partner with strong experience and expertise in the sector.”
Dev Malle from My Home Move said their eWay system was a perfect fit.
“Landbay has an exciting, technology based proposition which has a consumer focused edge,” said Malle.
