Fundrise’s eREIT product sold out in hours when it launched launched. The first $1 million portion was swamped by demand that exceeded the subscription amount by 503%. Tomorrow, according to Fundrise, the platform will open up the next $2 million investment round to fund the eREIT. Even before the offer hit the internet over 15,000 potential investors signed up to be able to participate. Fundrise stated they expect the offer to go quickly. The Fundrise eREIT has a minimum investment of $1,000 with a fraction of the average fees of similar traditional channels.

One of the interesting aspects of the eREIT is the vehicle allows for non-accredited investors to participate in a crowdfunded asset class that has, until now, been largely blocked for non-accredited investors. There will be ongoing opportunities as they complete the $50 million target for the fund.
