Ohio State Launches Crowdfunding Platform for University Projects

Buckeye FunderOhio State University has launched “Buckeye Funder” to allow alumni and other donors to support students, faculty and staff fund their projects. Ohio State has over 58,000 students on its main campus making it one of the largest universities in the US. The new platform is powered by Scalefunder, a white label service that has targeted the educational sector of the crowdfunding industry.

Michael C. Eicher, Senior VP for advancement and president of The Ohio State University Foundation, told OSU News that the new platform will make it easier for donors to connect with Ohio’s largest university;

“Buckeye Funder is a new way for the university to connect with our alumni, donors and friends. By showcasing some innovative projects from our talented faculty and students, the Buckeye community can help them reach their goals.”

The site is for philanthropic projects and everything will be channele throuhg the foundation and is thus tax deductible. Buckeye Funder launched with four projects, listed below;
