Brief: Kickstarter Introduces New “Recommendations” Feature

On Friday, crowdfunding giant Kickstarter announced a brand new feature called Recommendations. This section helps attract backers to campaigns that are more to their liking.

Kickstarter 3Recommendations is described as a personalized entry point to discovering new projects that are specific to backers interests and tastes. The funding portal noted that it has designed a simple but power algorithm  for this process that compares millions of pledges to find projects backed by the same people.

The Kickstarter team announced:

“There are 5,841 creative projects to discover, be inspired by, and support on Kickstarter right now. A couple hundred more from around the world will launch before the day is over. They spring from the minds of emerging and established creators of all stripes, and span the creative spectrum. There’s something for everyone.”
