Tiddley Pom, a certified organic baby care brand, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube with a mission to raise £150,000 so that it can expand its product presence worldwide.
Tiddley Pom, which was founded in 2003 by entrepreneur Emma Nash, currently offers a range of organic products in Boots, Holland and Barret along with online in the UK and Eastern Europe. Recently, the company announced that it will be launching in Hong Kong this weekend at the Kidstival. Its description reads:
“Tiddley Pom is the brainchild of Emma Nash. Emma developed Tiddley Pom after the birth of her daughter Iris who had sensitive skin which was prone to eczema. Having spent the previous 15 year formulating and supplying raw, natural ingredients to the skin care industry (Espa, Neals Yard, Lush and The Body Shop amongst others) she understood ingredients and their role in soothing irritated skin. Baby skin is 30% thinner than adult skin and needs extra care, particularly newborn skin and those babies who suffer rashes and eczema, so products need to be as mild as possible.”
Tiddley Pom’s products included organic baby wash, organic massage oil, organic soothing lotion, organic nappy balm, organic baby massage gift experience, Baby Cuddles CD, Baby Night Time CD, Baby Massage CD and Baby Massage DVD.
The total funds will be used for the following:
- New multi-language e-commerce website (English, Cantonese, Japanese, Arabic)
- Marketing activities to support UK retailers (Boots, Ocado, Holland and Barrett)
- Marketing activities to support China, UAE and Eastern Europe expansion
- Stock purchase
- Launch of new products (developed and ready to go into manufacture) to the UK market with the aim to roll out internationally in year 2.
Tiddley Pom’s campaign is set to close at the end of March.
