“Orchard is focused on supporting transparent and frictionless transactions in the primary and secondary markets for marketplace funded loans,” said Matt Burton CEO and co-founder of Orchard. “In order for marketplace lending to scale and capitalize on the opportunity to satisfy the needs of borrowers, origination volume must increase radically and lenders will need access to a very large and liquid pool of capital. Orchard understands originators’ data, how investors use it, and how to create opportunities for the two parties to transact with increased operational efficiencies.”

david snitkofDavid Snitkof, Orchard co-founder and Chief Analytics Officer, explained that Orchard sits at a unique confluence of originators and institutional investors. They are perfectly positioned to gauge and monitor industry trends.

“We believe deeply that it’s important to come together as a group to join in frank discussions about the forces that are at work in the industry. We look forward to working with our partners and in conjunction with the entire industry to pursue these opportunities and support a vibrant future for the world of credit to come.”
