Supper, a mobile application platform, has recently launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to secure £400,000 for its food delivery app.
According to Supper, the app offers UK cooking professionals a convenient way to enjoy nutritious home-cooked food. London customers choose a chef and select an item from his or her menu. All orders come with free delivery. Recently, Supper has been recognized at the international iF Design Awards 2016 and won the smartphone communication category for design.
The company’s mission statement reads:
“We strive to give more people the opportunity to eat healthy, good quality and freshly home-cooked food with the convenience of it being delivered to the door, hot and ready to enjoy. We view and pride ourselves on being advocates for leading healthy lifestyles and we will strive to end the trend of reliance on ready-meals, sandwiches and traditional takeaways as a staple diet for too many hard working individuals.”
Supper also shared details about its platform:
“We currently have 75 active cooks in our launch area of South West London all cooking their own bespoke menu. The only restriction we place is based on nutritional content as we aim to deliver not only fresh home-cooked food but nutritious meals. All dishes on the app are checked by our nutritionist for calories, fat, salt and sugar ensuring we are not just another takeaway or food delivery service, but an altogether new way of eating.”
Louisa’s Kitchen, a Supper chef participant, stated:
“I see Super as a fantastic opportunity to expand my passion to a wider audience and to take cooking for myself in the evening to a new level.”
Since its launch, Supper’s campaign has secured over £75,000. It is set to close next month.
