Dark Souls Board Game Finishes Kickstarter Run; Captures Over £3.7M in Funding

Steamforged Games Ltd’s Dark Souls – The Board Game has officially closed on Kickstarter. The tabletop version of the hit video game successfully secured £3,771,474 from 31,178 backers.

Dark Soul 1Dark Souls – The Board Game is described as a strategically challenging, deeply immersive combat exploration game for 1-4 players set in the Dark Souls universe. Players choose from a number of core character classes and explore dangerous locations full of monsters, treasures, and deadly boss fights.  The game is playable in both solo or co-op modes and players must choose their role from a number of core Dark Souls character classes.

The Core Game contains: 3 Boss Models, 5 Mini-Boss Models, 4 Player Character Models, 4 Large Grunt Models, 12 Grunt Models, 7 Double Sided Game Tiles, 4 Player Character Boards, 3 Boss Dials for Tracking Damage, 60 Equipment Cards, 40 Treasure Cards, 26 Boss AI Cards, 36 Encounter Cards, 15 Coloured Dice, and 100+ Game Tokens.

The game studio thanked its fans by inviting them to participate on the game’s forums, which will reveal updates on the game’s development progress. Dark Souls- The Board Game’s estimated delivery is currently set for April 2017.
