Vinaya, a tech startup based in London, launched an Indiegogo campaign this week to raise $100,000 for its new wearable tech, Zenta. Within 48 hours, the project has successfully secured its initial goal from nearly 300 backers.
Zenta reportedly tracks metrics such as fitness, activity, sleep and breathing along with tangible metrics like stress, happiness and other moods thanks to its biometric sensors. The Vinaya team revealed the reason why they decided to create the wearable to help others better understand the patterns of their emotional, behavioral and physical wellbeing.
The company stated that Zenta uses the most advanced patented sensing technology and machine learning algorithms to decode cues from your body, mind and digital life.
“Grounded in neuroscience and psychology, Zenta collects and synthesizes complex information about your life to build a holistic picture of your wellbeing over time– far beyond just counting your steps.”
Here’s how Zenta works:
- Body: Measures heart rate, respiration, perspiration, physical activity, and other key markers of emotional states.
- Mind: Logs progress through daily touchpoint and lets users practices interactive breathing exercises.
- Digital: Syncs with data from calendars, locations, and other smartphone-related traffic.
The wearable’s other features include sleeping tracking, visual emotion sharing, touch control, and even fertility tracking. Vinaya revealed it is looking to add other features, like voice control command, contactless payment, and city emotion tracking, in the future.
Those looking to back the project will receive rewards, including the wearable tech’s Sport Band, starting at $119 and the Leather Band, starting at $149. Backers can also receive the duo for $239.
The campaign is set to close at the beginning of July.
