San Francisco’s Room to Read Teams Up With Classy As it Prepares For International Fundraising Expansion

Classy, a cloud-based fundraising platform that helps nonprofits and social enterprises mobilize and empower communities, announced on Monday it has formed a partnership with Room to Read, a San Francisco-based organization that is aiming to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.

ChildrenClassy revealed, as part of the partnership, it is expanding its product’s international capability. The organization’s new international fundraising automation system will dynamically handle currencies, the routing of funds and receipting under a single campaign or donation page depending on where the donor is coming from.

The organization noted that this system will supposedly eliminate the need for international non-profits to create duplicate campaigns or have multiple products for each country that its supporters come from. It will also give them flexibility to customize receipting and route funds by country.

Scot ChisholmScot Chisholm, CEO & Co-Founder of Classy, commented:

“We are extremely excited to partner with such an innovative social impact organization like Room to Read and push the boundaries of our technology forward. In 2015 alone, non-profit organizations using the Classy platform received donations from over 190 countries. Providing the ability to internationalize a fundraising campaign with a click of a button will save our customers a tremendous amount of time and money and ultimately allow them to concentrate their time scaling their global impact.”

Dr. Geetha Murali, chief development officer of Room to Read, added:

”As the philanthropic market becomes more complex, non-profits must offer both an impactful solution to a challenge investors care about, but also make giving simple and engaging. Room to Read’s global network has developed diverse streams of fundraising and our partnership with Classy will allow us to work more efficiently and offer our international donor base a best-in-class platform through which to support our mission.”
