Leeds-based company Myrtle & Maude has recently launched a Seedrs initiative to raise £106,000 for the expansion of its all-natural nausea products, which are for those who experience morning and travel sickness.
Myrtle & Maude currently offers a range of both natural and safe products, which includes Acupressure wristbands, peppermint oil mints, and herbal tea. It also has two different brands, the self-titled on is aimed for expected mothers experiencing morning sickness, and Motion Medic, which is directed towards people who struggle with travel sickness. Explaining details about the products, the Myrtle & Maude team stated:
“Our aim is to provide safe herbal alternatives for mums to be. We want to be trusted, approved and needed. We have found no other companies with a large product range who combine natural remedies to soothe nausea. Our focus is on maintaining quality and using only natural and organic worry free ingredients.Our goal is to help travellers overcome Nausea using Natural products that will improve the quality of their journey, making travelling more comfortable.”
They also revealed:
“For both our brands we plan to build a solid reputation within the UK, online and with large retailers as a starting position but aim to expand into other markets within Europe, Australia, and the US. We are currently EU regulated and insured to supply worldwide.”
To date, the company has achieved the following:

Funds from the campaign will be used for:
- Hire sales rep
- Implement marketing strategy
- New Product development
- Purchase new range of stock
- Finish prototyping
- Create online shop website and SEO
The initiative is set to close later this fall.
