Next Up on NextGen Crowdfunding: 8tracks, discotech, Green Sense Farms, RaceYa & SwitchPitch

Louder Noise ShoutNextGen has scheduled its next live crowdfunding event. On September 21st (8pm ET),  NextGen Crowdfunding’s Interactive Ignition Event will present several crowdfunding campaigns live. Once again, everything will be livestreamed via the NextGen site and viewers will be given the opportunity to ask questions and perhaps invest. NextGen focuses on early stage companies that are opening up investment to non-accredited investors so anyone may participate.

NextGen is a new channel for issuers to help spread the word about the opportunity to purchase equity or debt in their companies. NextGen focuses on two new securities exemptions which were created by the JOBS Act of 2012. Under Regulation A+ (or just Reg A+), issuers may raise up to $50 million. Under Regulation CF (or Reg CF), an early stage company may raise up to $1 million.

If you are interested you may check it out here. No obligation. The list of presenting companies, as it stands today, are listed below.

8Tracks- Reg A+ : Raising up to $11 million – SeedInvest

“Crowd-curated internet radio. 8tracks delivers the right playlist for a listener’s taste, at the right time and place, with a human touch.”

discotech – Reg CF : Wefunder

“Discotech is an app that allows you to search, discover, and RSVP to the hottest clubs, lounges and live music events—it’s the Kayak.com for nightlife. Before Discotech, the only way to get into the best clubs was through club promoters—middlemen who get paid on commission and take their large cut of fees. With Discotech, you can now browse through dozens of clubs, book your tickets, and enjoy the night seamlessly.”

Green Sense Farms – Reg CF : StartEngine

Build a network of indoor vertical farms, and locate them at perishable food distribution centers owned by large grocery stores, and at institutional campuses wherever large volumes of meals are served daily. Our goal is to profitably and sustainably grow the best leafy greens in a controlled indoor environment.

RaceYa – Reg CF : Republic

We use customizable radio-controlled cars to teach kids about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Everybody knows boys love playing with cars but somehow we forgot that girls do too.

The White House has made STEM a national priority yet girls who are excited about science when they are younger start giving up on it as early as middle school.

SwitchPitch – Reg CF : SeedInvest

Changing how big and small companies work together …the LinkedIn for business development.
