Friends & Brgrs, a Finland-based restaurant known for its burgers and triple-cooked fries, has recently launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Invesdor. The company is currently seeking €612,500 from the crowd as it prepares to expand internationally.
The restaurant stated it uses fresh ingredients while preparing all food in its establishment. It also avoids additives/preservatives whenever possible and all ingredients are sourced from suppliers that are known and trusted. The founders, Peter Fagerholm, Saul Mäenpää, Kaj Fagerholm, Sebastian Östman, Rasmus Östman, and Ole Snellman, shared:
“We started Friends & Brgrs for people just like you. People who like great burgers. People like us. That’s why we bake our own buns, triple-cook our fries and grind the meat ourselves. We use the best ingredients we can find, and buy them from people we know and trust. No shortcuts and no compromises. There are easier ways to make burgers and fries, but not better.”
Friends & Brgrs’ founders also noted:
“We care for a good work environment, both in terms of relationships between people and the physical environment. We want to create opportunities for our employee to succeed in their work by working together, helping and supporting each other. We strongly believe in the people we work with, and their willingness to dedicate themselves to our common goals.”
The company noted its current plan is to expand new restaurants in larger cities throughout Europe. It wants to open 2-3 new establishments per year in the coming years. Friends & Brgrs also revealed that it has chosen not to franchise, commenting that the company believes the best way to secure quality is by controlling the operations itself.
Since its launch, the campaign has secured more than €450,000 from over 150 investors. It is set to close on December 20th.
