Jah Plant Hire (trading as Anglia Crane), a UK-based specialist plant hire company, is seeking £50,000 on Crowd2Fund to help manage their fast growth.
Anglia Crane, which first started operating in 1987, was taken over by Jay Hawkes, the current owner, in 2012. The company revealed that under Hawkes’ stewardship, it has benefitted from significant growth. When Hawkes first took over the business the company only had a fleet of four machines for hire. In its present form, the company is considered one of the fastest growing plant hire businesses in the UK, with a hire fleet of over 450 machines. The company also noted that as a way to reduce the environment impact of the construction industry, it works with a number of local charities and its eco-friendly element is a key factor in its service delivery.
Hawkes revealed that the company is seeking the funds to help manage its working capital as it continues to grow and develop. He noted:
“The funds will be used for bolster the working capital in the business. As with any business, it grows the strain on working capital can appear. Having a strong working capital position will allow the business to capitalize on future opportunities.”
He went on to add:
“Anglia Crane is an established industry that uses modern, innovative technology to fulfill our customers’ needs. I see Crowd2Fund in exactly the same way. Linking investors with my business without having to pay extortionate fees along with the flexibility it offers investors really excites me.”
