Former PayPal UK’s Chief Credit Risk Officer Joins RateSetter

On Monday, RateSetter announced it appointed Michael Hoare as its new Head of Risk Analytics and Retail Credit. Hoare notably joins from PayPal UK, where he was Chief Credit Risk Officer.

HandshakePrior to PayPal UK, Hoare also worked at Capital One, where he held various positions including Credit Risk Management Director, Head of Portfolio Management, and Head of Third Party Marketing. RateSetter stated Hoare joins an established risk team that reports to the peer-to-peer lender’s Risk Committee, which is chaired by Jim Gunner.

Speaking about his new role at RateSetter, Michael commented:
