According to the brand, the new deluxe, fully-featured soother is customized to suit any family’s sleep routine through the Smart Connect app. Parents may use the app to create a “Sleep Stage” plan, which will help enhance their baby’s bedtime routine. These stages are the following:
- Stage 1 – Captivate:
The Soother uses lights and gentle music to help grab a baby’s attention when they are not quite ready to settle down.
- Stage 2 – Sooth:
The Soother uses dimmed lights and softer, slower music to keep the baby relax.
- Stage 3 – Sleep:
The Soother’s projection is replaced with a gentle night light and calming sound to help the baby fall asleep.
Fisher-Price also noted that the Soother has tons of customizable combinations, along with multi-colored starlight projection and an animal silhouette projection. It also has an amber-colored nightlight. music such as nature sounds and pink noise, The company explained the benefit of using pink noise over white noise:
“White noise is a combination of all frequencies across our hearing spectrum at the same volume, so it can be quite harsh. Pink noise is similar, but has a less volume in the higher frequencies. So it is less fatiguing – especially for long durations.”
Full features are shown below.
