Crowdcube announced on Tuesday that more than £15 million was invested through its equity crowdfunding platform during December 2016. The UK-based funding portal shared on Twitter:

Recently, Crowdcube became the first UK crowdfunding platform to raise £200 million for more than 430 businesses. The milestone announcement came just after lingerie and nightwear brand, Bluebella, secured over £1 million through the funding portal from more than 600 investors.
The December 2016 investment announcement comes just a few weeks after Crowdcube revealed it received two awards during the third annual AltFi Awards. The event celebrates alternative finance industry achievements.Crowdcube was notably named “Crowdfunding Platform of the Year,” which is awarded to the equity crowdfunding platform that drives innovation, delivered an excellent investor experience and had grown significantly in the past 12 months. It was also dubbed “Most Innovative Crowdfunding Platform of the Year.”
