On Monday, UK-based equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube announced it received two awards during the 2016 AltFi Annual Awards. The event celebrated achievements within the alternative finance industry and had 28 categories, including 13 new ones.
Crowdcube revealed it was named “Crowdfunding Platform of the Year,” which is awarded to the equity crowdfunding platform that drives innovation, delivered an excellent investor experience and has grown significantly in the past 12 months. It was also dubbed “Most Innovative Crowdfunding Platform of the Year.”
Other winners of the AltFi Awards included SyndicateRoom (named Alternative Platform of the Year in the UK), RateSetter (P2P Consumer Platform of the Year), Funding Circle (P2P Business Platform of the Year), Folk2Folk (Up and Coming P2P Business Platform of the Year), Growthdeck (Up And Coming Crowdfunding Platform of the Year), and Zopa (Best Clarify of Data Award).
