On Tuesday, online adult game publisher, Nutaku, announced the launch of its new crowdfunding platform specifically for 18+ games, Kimochi Red Light.
According to Nutaku, Kimochi Red Light is free for gaming studios and developers to showcase their projects. The crowdfunding platform will not take a percentage of any funding from the campaigns hosted on their site, unlike other funding portals like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. While sharing more details about the new platform, Nutaku’s Communications Manager, Mia Mason, stated:
“Kimochi Red Light is going to carve a new path for artists and game developers to create content as part of the rapidly emerging mature gaming market. Not only that but this platform is unlike any other because it’s uncensored and uncompromising, just how art should be. We’re thrilled to act as a non-profit catalyst for the industry and the gaming community.”
Current campaigns active on Kimochi Red Light include Alexa’s Wild Night Episicava, The Tower of Five Hearts, Virtual Ro:Mance, Dimlight City, Karmasutra, Battle Girls, Echo Tokyo, and Phantasma Magic. Nutasku added since the beta testing phase was launched in early January, numerous campaigns, such as Alexa’s Wild Night, Karmasutra, and Battle Girls, have already surpassed their funding goals.
