Now On Crowdcube: Tech Startups Lightvert & Tec Avenue Look to Raise Funds Through Equity Crowdfunding

Crowdcube announced on Tuesday three new funding opportunities that launched on its equity crowdfunding platform within the past week. The initiatives were dedicated to Tec Avenue, Lightvert, and #FundedClub member Iolight.

Lightvert

Lightvert is seeking £670,000 for the development of its new patented digital out of home advertising technology, ECHO. It was revealed:

With a single small reflective strip down the side of a building, we can create a fleeting but striking image in the eye of a viewer. From a relatively small footprint, ECHO can produce images up to 200m tall, making them some of the largest adverts in the world.”

The company is backed by Innovate UK.

Tec Avenue

Tec Avenue is seeking £125,000 for its out of the box, high-powered wireless charging device that is compatible with all QI enabled modern smartphones. The device also comes with a QI adapter for mobile phones that charges devices from flat up to 3x. The product is currently selling on Amazon and Tec Avenue is now aiming to launch the charger into a new store every month and become the wireless charger of choice for tech users.

Iolight

As previously reported, Iolight is the maker of a high-resolution portable microscope that displays images directly on tablets or smartphones. The microscope is considered among the first of its kind in the UK and delivers a resolution of better than 1μm. Among ioLight’s customers are Crowdcube fellow alum, The Eden Project, along with universities, schools, vets, pathologists, and micro-engineering companies. The company previously raised £242,180 from 249 investors in 2015 and is now seeking an additional £250,000.
