Honeyfund, a crowdfunding platform dedicated to honeymoons, announced on Tuesday it formed a partnership with prepaid commerce solutions provider CashStar to create a travel and experience egift card for newlyweds. While sharing details about the new card feature, Honeyfund CEO and Co-founder Sara Margulis, stated:
“The Honeyfund Gift Card is a versatile experience gift catering to today’s wedding couples and wedding guests alike, who are looking for more modern gifting options. With CashStar’s platform, we can offer a totally new kind of eGift Card with a broad range of redemption options – from travel to spa days to dining – to help couples’ newlywed dreams come true.”
Honeyfund also reported that the egift cards may be redeemed for hotel, airline, retail, transportation, and restaurant brands on the CashStar Exchange network. Martin Hood, vice president of channel partnerships at CashStar, added:
“Whether they want to book a nice hotel stay, travel abroad or get to work on a home improvement project, CashStar’s vast Exchange network enables Honeyfund Gift Card recipients to redeem gift cards for whatever they desire. Honeyfund’s innovative approach to gifting makes it a driving force in the wedding registry business, and we’re excited to collaborate with them.”
The news about Honeyfund’s partnership with CashStar comes less than six months after the platform announced the launch of its universal travel gift card. According to the funding portal, the Honeyfund Gift Card recipients can redeem the card for unlimited travel experiences from top partners including Hotels.com, Delta Air Lines, Royal Caribbean International, Groupon, QVC, and Uber.
