Calling All Inventors: Kickstarter Launches New Invention Challenge

Reward-based crowdfunding giant Kickstarter announced the launch of its new Invention Challenge. The funding platform currently offers inventors a chance to share their ideas and invent something to “share with the world” by creating something that completes tasks, solves a problem, or simply makes life more fun. Inventors will then post an Instructable explaining how they did it.

While sharing details about the Challenge, the Kickstarter crew explained:

To celebrate the most ingenious inventions, we’re offering some creativity-enabling prizes that got their start on Kickstarter. You could win a Nomad CNC mill, a Robo 3D printer, or a Teensy microcontroller — great prototyping tools to help move your idea forward. So brainstorm, iterate, and turn that proverbial pile of junk into something exciting and new. Maybe you’ll even feel inspired to take the next step and bring your idea to life on Kickstarter.

Investors have until July 31st to post an Instructable for their creations. To see how to write an Instructable, click here
