Ireland-based Galvanic has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to raise £700,000 for its product, the Pip, which is described as a wireless, hand-held device that accurately measures stress and allows users to manage their stress through a suite of gaming apps.
According to the company, the Pip uses biofeedback to measure an individual’s stress level and communicate through Bluetooth to an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet. The device also helps users who need help to relax and also companies looking to give their staff a way to manage their mental wellbeing through its cloud-based platform. It was revealed:
“The Pip is a scientifically proven bio-sensor which connects with a suite of engaging and immersive Apps for iOS and Android, and a secure, HIPAA-compliant cloud to help people measure and manage stress on a regular basis. This discreet, hand-held device can be used pretty much anytime and anywhere. We believe it’s well positioned to take advantage of the growing appreciation worldwide of the importance of stress management in our everyday lives.”
While sharing more details about the Pip, Galvanic CEO, David Ingram, stated:
“The Pip has been incredibly well received by therapists, psychologists and consumers around the world. People don’t want to be preached to about stress and work-life balance: they want solutions. With My Pip’s launch and ongoing institutional research and product partnerships, and our crowd funding launch, the future for the Pip and a calmer world is exciting.”
Funds from the Crowdcube campaign will be used to help Galvanic grow its development team, along with extending marketing reach, entertainment, and lifestyle applications. Since its launch, the campaign has secured more than 200,000 and is set to close mid-July.
