Startupbootcamp Fintech Latin America Reports: First Cohort Secures 30 Collaboration Projects

Startupbootcamp FinTech program in Latin America, which is a joint venture between Startupbootcamp and Finnovista, announced on Monday it celebrated the end of its first batch during Demo Day. According to the program, each of the startups has collectively secured 30 pilot projects and collaborations with financial entities and corporate partners of the program.

The program stated that the eleven fintech startups of this first generation showcased their innovation story and evolution during their acceleration process in front of key players from the financial industry and across the entrepreneur community in Mexico City.

“After 13 weeks of acceleration, the entrepreneurs had 1000+ one-to-one meetings with mentors, the local and global Startupbootcamp teams and representatives of the corporate partners who support the program; more than 10 workshops and 50 talks on different topics to improve their business, as well as private conversations with more than 30 investors and 250 mentors.”

It was also revealed that to date, Bdeo (Spain), Dapp (Mexico), DILE (Colombia), Finerio (Mexico), Flink (Mexico), Friendly Transfer (Ecuador), Konsigue  (Mexico) Mensajea (Ecuador), PayIt (Mexico), Tesseract (Mexico) and Übank (Chile) have achieved 30 pilot projects and collaborations of different kind with financial entities and the corporate partners of the program: Visa, Fiinlab powered by Gentera, BanRegio, HSBC México, IGNIA, EY México and White & CaseEduardo Morelos, Program Director of Startupbootcamp FinTech Mexico City explained:

“We have successfully closed the first chapter of this program in Latin America: eleven startups accompanied us on our first mission. They shared their innovations, and proven business growth in Latin America in the financial services sector is a great opportunity for collaboration with industry and investment”.

At the event, 200 attendees accompanied the local team and the startups to close this first batch. Meanwhile, Jesús Cochegrus, remarkable speaker and founder of eMotion Interactive, invited all to innovate everyday in his keynote: The secret to connect with the new market. The program went on to add that Morelos invited regional fintech startups to join the Startupbootcamp global community for the next cohort of startups, which will be announced in Q1 2018.
