On Monday, Crowdfunder UK announced it has teamed up with Propel by Deloitte and Voom to give away a share of £5,000 to five different business ideas that are currently exporting or looking to export in the future. According to the reward-based crowdfunding platform, this new competition is in partnership with the Exporting Is GREAT campaign and aims to raise awareness of the rising demand for exporting businesses and the help that is available to grow beyond the UK market. All companies entering must be planning to launch a crowdfunding campaign.
“We are now on the hunt to find the UK based businesses that have the ambition to export, or are already meeting demand, on an international scale – the businesses that know that borders aren’t blockers.”
To enter and win a £1,000 pledge from Propel by Deloitte, businesses must write in less than 100 words why they should win the pledge. The submission must be posted int he comment section on the competition’s Facebook post. Businesses then need to sign up for Voom 2017. The five favorite submissions will be announced on November 10th and each finalist will receive one on one coaching from a team of experiences in the leading up to launching their Crowdfunder UK projects, as well as further support for exporting from partners.
At the end of the month, all finalists’ campaigns will go live and they will need to raise money from the Crowd in order to unlock the £1,000 pledge.
