Press, a UK-based health food and nutrition business specializing in Cold-Pressed juices, snacks, smoothies, soups, and supplements, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube. The company is currently seeking £1 million as it prepares for expansion.
The company stated its products bring healthy, delicious recipes to the hands of customers that are looking to make positive decisions when it comes to what, when and how they eat and drink. It was revealed:
“We started when the co-founders Georgie Reames and Ed Foy were living and working in the US and saw the huge growth and excitement around the juicing market and the healthy consumption habits of the consumers. We developed recipes and brought two small cold-pressing machines from the US and opened our first store in a bathtub in Old Street tube station. Since then we have opened 3 stores in London, built a direct to consumer online subscription service and are now sold in over 250 partner stockists across the UK.”
Press then noted it is now looking to expand into Europe, with sales contractors in France and Spain.
“An exciting development is adding the media arm to the company and we launched The Squeeze, our online magazine last year. Partnering with over 50 industry ambassadors and influencers bringing news, articles and video content to out growing audience.”
Funds from the campaign will be used for the continuous expansion of Press. Since its launch a couple days ago, the company has successfully secured more than £700,000 from 60 investors. It is set to close mid-December.
