UK-based peer-to-peer lending platform RateSetter announced on Friday it has appointed Richard Steele as its regional manager for the Midlands. According to the online lender, Steele has more than 15 years of business lending experience and prior to joining RateSetter, he held the relationship manager position at Barclays and business development manager at BCRS Business Loans.
While discussing his new role at RateSetter, Steele stated:
“At a time when banks are cutting back on their frontline staff, I’m excited to be joining a lending platform which is actively investing to ensure that businesses have someone they can actually speak to. That level of service is really important, and I’m proud to be doing my bit to help good, creditworthy businesses invest and grow.”

RateSetter currently offers loans from £25,000 up to £750,000 to well-established creditworthy businesses. The lender now has a fast application process and provides an indicative decision within two hours for loans below £250,000
