Overfunding: UK Medical Tech Qure Surpasses £1 Million Funding Target on Seedrs

Qure, a UK-based medical platform that connects patients at home with highly-experienced medical practitioners in their area through an app, has successfully secured its initial £1 million funding target from more than 300 investors through equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs.

The platform, which was founded in 2016, launched its app in Summer 2017. Its on-demand and pre-booked service offers patients the flexibility to choose the best time to see a healthcare provider.

Qure offer 24/7 private healthcare, without the huge price tag that is usually associated with these kinds of services. Qure’s market research makes it clear that there is real demand for this, across income segments. Qure practitioners can come to a patient’s home or workplace and the service couldn’t be more convenient, providing immediate access to appropriate medical advice and prescriptions. Qure primary care services are similar to what patients get through their local GP, but without the hassle of trying to secure an appointment and get to the surgery.”

Qure also noted that from injuries and illnesses, to allergies and acute pain, its highly-experienced doctors can treat a wide range of conditions in the comfort of your own home or workplace. The platform also offers flu vaccinations at a location to suit the patients.

All funds from the Seedrs campaign will be used to continue the development of the Qure app. The initiative is set to close later this fall.
