With its latest Crowdcube campaign set to close in less than two weeks, UK-based parking innovator JustPark is nearing £2.3 million from more than 1950 investors. The company launched the funding round last month and quickly raised its initial £1.5 million funding target.
Founded by entrepreneur Anthony Eskinazi, JustPark is now seeking to lead the disruption of the £50 billion global parking market by allowing its customers to book off-street parking spaces online wherever and whenever they need them. Since its debut, the company has over 650,000 registered users and over 150,000 parking spaces. The company raised more than £3.5 million from over 2,700 investors through its first Crowdcube campaign in 2015.
“We help 1.5 million registered drivers find parking in seconds – with real-time information on availability, restrictions and price for 1.4 million spaces. Drivers can even reserve and pay for a guaranteed space at 20,000+ locations via our award-winning apps.”
While its equity crowdfunding round continues to be highly successful, JustPark recently announced it has secured a new contract to become the new mobile payments provider for Central Bedfordshire Council car parks. This is the third local authority contract that JustPark has achieved.
“The contract was won from the incumbent provider RingGo, and we expect it to add over 200,000 parking transactions per year to our volumes – allowing us to make parking easier for thousands of residents and visitors to the area. We’re thrilled to be working with another local authority, in a part of the country which is relatively new territory for JustPark. We can’t wait to get to work with the Central Bedfordshire team and start delivering positive parking experiences across the region.”
The JustPark team added that they are currently in the bidding process for more significant contracts. All funds from the latest Crowdcube round will go towards expansion along with accelerating sales team growth, marketing, product and development capabilities, and international growth. The campaign is set to close next week.
