UK’s Department for International Trade Schedules Fintech Mission to Mexico & Japan

Once again, the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) is booking trips abroad to promote and interact with financial innovation types around the world.

DIT has scheduled two trips for this Fall.

First, DIT has scheduled their second UK Fintech Mission to Mexico City from 11-14 September 2018.

Later in the month, DIT is preparing for a Fintech trade mission to Tokyo that happens to coincide with Japan’s largest Fintech event FinSum, an event organised by Nikkei (Japan’s largest business daily newspaper and owner of the FT)  and the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA).

DIT is currently recruiting for two these two Fintech trade missions, with applications being accepted until Friday 27th July. Areas of interest are said to be:

  • Open Banking
  • Application Programming Interfaces (API’s)
  • Crowdfunding
  • Peer to Peer Lending
  • Mobile Payment Solutions
  • Identity verification and fraud prevention

There is also an opportunity to pitch at the UK Fintech Night arranged by DIT Tokyo during the FinSum event.
