The House Financial Services Committee, Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade has scheduled a hearing entitled “The Future of Money: Digital Currency”. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 2:00 PM. There is no additional information at this time as to who will be testifying on behalf of the topic but the information should be published over the next few days. The subject matter is pretty specific so it will most certainly cover Bitcoin etc. and blockchain in general.
CI will be certain to share the list of witnesses once the names become available but this should be an interesting hearing to watch for crypto industry types.
As is the case with most all other hearings, the event will be live streamed on the Committee’s website.
