Overfunding: Environmental Tech Company Safe Solvents Quickly Surpasses £800,000 on Crowdcube

Safe Solvents, a UK-based environmental technology company, has successfully secured its initial £800,000 funding target on equity crowdfunding platform, Crowdcube.

Launched in 2015, Safe Solvents reports that it researches, designs, formulates, and manufactures its own range of parts washing machines and advanced solvent replacement products in the UK. The company noted its products have undergone extensive field testing, and its team has spend two years and developing, as wells testing, the products to endure they are “the best they can be.”

“Our solutions are designed to offer businesses within the automotive, aerospace, marine, commercial and industrial markets a safer, and more cost effective option than traditional solvent and heated aqueous products. Our range of liquids and machines are available to lease or buy, via flexible monthly payment options and hassle free contracts. All allowing businesses to select the method which works best for them.”

Safe Solvents also noted it was created to deliver a safer, greener, cleaner parts washing solution to the engineering industry.

Its game-changing technology has also enabled a more efficient business model. The immediate focus is on the huge, established market opportunity in the UK, and beyond this, the broader global market.”

Funds from the Crowdcube initiative will be used to continue the growth and development of the Safe Solvents’ products. Prior to launching its Crowdcube campaign, Safe Solvents raised £700,000 of the investment round’s amount. A total of £132,000 of the funding has already been spent and the company may draw down a further £250,000 during the course of the round.
