St. Louis, Missouri based crowdfunding platform Nvsted has launched two new investment campaigns. The local-focused platform is helping biotech startup Pluton Biosciences and CAD Trailer Designs raise growth capital.
Nvested has positioned its platform as the “first hyper-local regulation crowdfunding portal” around. Regulation Crowdfunding, or Reg CF as it is commonly called, enables issuers to raise up to $1.07 million in a highly structured environment. Only FINRA regulated “funding portals” or broker-dealers may issue securities under Reg CF.
CAD Trailer Designs is a manufacturer and distributor of a patented foldable utility trailer for recreational and business consumers. The trailers are designed to fold simply and fit compactly inside a garage while allowing enough space to park a car, thus solving the problem of parking the trailer on the street or in a driveway (which is restricted in many communities – especially urban markets). The manufacturing of the trailers is said to take place in the metro St. Louis area.
Pluton Biosciences “discovers new microbes for development into sustainable biosolutions.” The company is said to have recently completed a proof of concept by discovering a new “larvicidal method of killing mosquitos.”
Pluton Biosciences aspires to solve global problems by discovering natural microbes already living in the soil, says CEO Charlie Walch:
“We are very excited to tell our story through the Nvsted platform and to support our hometown’s aspiration to become a destination city for life science startups and entrepreneurs.”
Both campaigns went live in January and follow in the footsteps of the first “STL native” issuer Wellbeing Brewing Co. which raised just shy of $200,000 from 70 investors – last year.
Nvsted wants to make it easy for investors to invest as little as $100 in local startups and for business owners in the St. Louis area to gain access to the capital they need to grow – fulfilling the mission of securities crowdfunding.
