Popular crypto exchange Kraken is crowdfunding.
Kraken has partnered with Bnk to the Future to “create a rare, but limited opportunity for both large and small investors to own shares of Kraken stock.” Kraken claimed over $85 billion in crypto trading during 2018.
Beginning yesterday (May 20), Kraken commenced the offering on Bnk to the Future for registered users of the platform. Preferred shares of Kraken stock can be purchased until June 20th, with a minimum investment of only $1,000.

The securities crowdfunding offering has easily topped its minimum investment goal of £4,866,786. As of today, over £6.2 million has been raised with a stated cap on the offering of £8 million. Investors will be receiving an equity stake of just 0.255% in the crypto exchange. The offering is only available to accredited investors in the US.
In a letter distributed to Kraken users, management stated:
“We will continue to look for ways to democratize access to our equity, allowing more of our valued clients to become valued investors. Thank you for choosing Kraken, the most trusted and secure digital asset exchange.”
